Mr Mike Dilkes is one of the foremost Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeons in practice today. With over 25 years as a specialist, including 20 years at Barts NHS in Central London, he brings unparalleled expertise to every patient consultation.
Professional Background
Mike has performed over 800 major head and neck tumour resections and nearly 5,000 laser procedures during his distinguished career. His experience spans across one of the country’s oldest and foremost teaching hospitals – Barts NHS in Central London.
He now focuses on cancer diagnosis, tonsillectomy by laser, snoring and sleep apnoea treatments, and nose unblocking laser procedures. His approach emphasises minimally invasive techniques using local anaesthetic where possible, offering patients faster recovery times and significantly lower costs compared to traditional methods.
Mike is a great believer in medical technology and has pioneered digital HD endoscopy in clinic, providing patients with a very clear and magnified view of their examination. He uses the latest Holmium-YAG laser system from Germany for turbinoplasty procedures.
